While being held by Captain Britarra, Captain Tyrellian and Lieutenant Exler cross paths with an old friend — DaiMon Yurrel — who finds himself faced with making a difficult life-and-death decision.
The Pinch becomes the backdrop for a clash of wills and viewpoints as the Chimera is torn between continuing the search and rescue for Lt. Exler and following orders from Captain Buchanan.
The Chimera finally emerges from the Rough Seas and begins the desperate search for their lost crewmate. Back on DS3, a mysterious Ferengi Treasury Agent makes a demand of Captain Buchanan that may seal Exler’s fate — and that of the Chimera’s former commander.
After hastily leaving port, the crew of the Chimera heads to join in the search and rescue of the Ferengi shuttle carrying Lt. Exler, Dr. Winston and Goshen.
